Dr. Micah Carter - Chiropractor

Dr. Carter discovered chiropractic care while suffering from chronic migraines—and it changed his life. Since graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2002, he’s brought that same relief to thousands of Oklahoma City patients. He specializes in treating auto accidents, herniated discs, pregnancy care, and pediatric chiropractic. With advanced certifications in spinal trauma and a teaching background, Dr. Carter makes complex conditions easy to understand.

Jennifer - Massage Therapist

Melisa - Therapy Assistant

Melisa grew up on a wheat and cattle farm in northwest Oklahoma, where she acquired her work ethic and her love for the outdoors. She grew up driving wheat trucks and riding horses and has been married to Dr. Carter since before he was a chiropractor – 31 years.

After college, Melisa landed a teaching position at a technical school in Goodland, KS, where she taught business and computers.. After earning a Master’s in Technical Education during their 3 years in Goodland, Dr. and Mrs. Carter moved from the Great Plains to the Big City – Dallas, TX. for Chiropractic school. Melisa taught online college business courses and travelled the US and the world as a technical trainer for an international Control Systems corporation.

While in Dallas, the Carters made so many life-changing health changes – healthy/clean eating, exercise and stretching, chiropractic care, etc. Melisa continues to avidly research natural, health innovations.

Melisa has utilized chiropractic care personally and for her family for over 30 years and has been an integral part of Family Tree Chiropractic since opening 23 years ago. Her favorite part of working in the office is seeing the amazing improvements in patients’ health once they begin chiropractic care! She also LOVES interacting with patients. Family Tree really is like a huge, extended family!

When she’s not helping people with therapies, taking x-rays, or managing the office, Melisa homeschools her youngest of 4 kids and enjoys spending time with family and friends at the lake, fishing or doing water sports, camping, or just enjoying a sunrise or sunset outdoors.

Amanda - Patient Advocate

I’m blessed to be a mother of two amazing boys who mean the world to me, and to be married to my best friend of 14 years. We also share our home with three rescue dogs that I absolutely adore.

I graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2009 with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation and became a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and Recreation Therapist in Oklahoma. I spent several years working in psychiatric residential treatment with children and adolescents, where I discovered my passion for helping people overcome challenges and improve their quality of life.

In 2011, I received the Therapeutic Recreation Association of Oklahoma’s Young Professional of the Year Award and was inducted into Rho Phi Lambda Honorary Fraternity for my academic achievements, community service, and dedication to the field.

Helping people and making a positive impact on those around me has always been my passion. That’s what drives me every day in everything I do.

Alexis - Massage Therapist

Alexis is a dedicated massage therapist who takes pride in helping patients feel their best. Her warm, professional demeanor puts clients at ease from the moment they step into the treatment room, creating a safe space where true healing can occur.

Known for her strong, effective technique, Alexis specializes in therapeutic massage that addresses the root causes of discomfort. She has a particular talent for working with patients experiencing muscle tension, mobility issues, and pain related to injuries or chronic conditions. Her thorough approach ensures that each session delivers meaningful results, not just temporary relief.

Heather - Partner Relations

Heather’s journey with Family Tree Chiropractic began as a patient suffering from severe sciatica. The pain was so unbearable that she was seriously considering amputation of her right leg. Traditional treatments had failed, and she felt like she was running out of options.

Everything changed when she found Dr. Micah Carter and the team at Family Tree Chiropractic in Oklahoma City. Through personalized chiropractic care, Heather experienced relief she never thought possible. She regained the mobility and quality of life she thought she’d lost forever.

So impressed by the care and results she received, Heather joined Family Tree Chiropractic in a Partner Relations role. She now helps expand business connections and shares her story with the Oklahoma City community.
