Myriad Botanical Gardens

The Myriad Botanical Gardens is a 17-acre botanical garden as well as interactive urban park situated in midtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on the southwest edge of Reno as well as Robinson. The Gardens is residence to numerous rates of largely landscaped areas that surround a sunken lake. Its main function is the Crystal Bridge Tropical Sunroom – a 224-foot living plant gallery including imposing hand trees, tropical plants and blossoms, falls, and unique pets.

The Multitude Botanical Gardens is home to a number of art pieces. Entrance by Hans Van de Bovenkamp bases on a raised berm at the northeast corner of the Gardens. Youth is Everlasting by Robin Orbach is set up in the southwest quadrant of the premises. Philodendron Dome is situated on the northwest side of the lake as well as consists of a dome-shaped framework on an 8′ x 9′ base made of iron as well as bronze. Iron creeping plants support the “dome” of this bronze plant’s fallen leaves, where visitors can go into for a view from underneath.

Traveling Fish by Kenny McCage is a kinetic sculpture in the Gardens’ east lake. Land of the Brave as well as the Free is a kinetic wind sculpture made up of intense colors and also stereotypical forms. It situated on the west side of the Gardens. It was given away in 2002 to the Celebration of the Arts by California musician Susan Pascal Beran. The Spirit Poles are adjacent to the north fountain plaza, and were gifts to the City of Oklahoma City from the City of Tulsa in celebration of Oklahoma’s centennial of statehood in 2007.
